Group Therapy
At Impressions-Therapy, PLLC, we offer small, supportive therapy groups for children and teens who are experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty managing big feelings. These structured groups help participants build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and feel more in control of their emotions in a safe and supportive environment.

Childhood Anxiety & Emotional Regulation Therapy Group
Ages 8–12

Helping children understand their feelings, manage anxiety, and build confidence in handling big emotions.
This psychotherapy group supports children who experience anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty managing big feelings. In a structured and supportive environment, children learn how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected while developing practical tools to cope with everyday stressors.

Using developmentally appropriate and evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral and DBT-informed strategies, children build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and increase confidence in navigating challenges at home, school, and in social settings.

Participants will work on:
• Understanding anxiety and emotional responses
• Learning skills to calm the body and mind
• Managing worry and overwhelming thoughts
• Building confidence and problem-solving skills
• Improving social and communication skills

This group is ideal for children experiencing frequent worries, emotional outbursts, school-related anxiety, or difficulty coping with stress.

The group incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) along with other evidence-based approaches to help adolescents develop practical skills for managing intense emotions and navigating daily stressors.

Participants will work on:
• Emotional regulation and understanding intense feelings
• Distress tolerance skills for overwhelming situations
